Warriors of Resistance
While some Armenian Warriors fought battles in trenches and many others with words of remembrance, some still fought a war of resistance. Within the Armenian Genocide, there are two kinds of resistance. The first is obvious, of men arming themselves and attacking and killing the Turkish soldiers who ruined their communities. However, there is a more subtle kind of resistance. By merely refusing to disappear and keeping family records and artifacts, this entire collection is a form of resistance. The Ottoman Turks tried their best to wipe out an entire ethnic-cultural group from the planet. But this exhibit and the artifacts within are proof that they failed. Not only did the people escape, but the Armenian culture lives on because of these brave acts of resistance.
